We have an immediate need for a Tool Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Conducts general engineering and design of aircraft tooling including fabrication, assembly, and test fixtures.

. Creates mechanical assembly plans, designs tooling and fixtures, and executes fabrication of fixtures.

. Documents plans and designs with engineering drawings, written descriptions, and test reports.

. Writes, maintains, and improves fabrication and test procedures.

. Evaluates test results, draws conclusions, and collaborates with peers on continuous improvement and creative engineering problem solving.

. Supplier interaction and some travel may be required.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:

. BS degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent is required

. Experience with large composite aircraft structures fabrication and/or test.

. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, innovative, and collegiate culture essential.

. "Hands-on" experience with aircraft or similar mechanical structures a plus.

. Knowledgeable of typical aerospace structural design and analysis tools.

. Skilled with CATIA V5 , experience with SolidWorks also good.





This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants cannot be hired until they are qualified to have such access.
